Tier Evaluation Criteria
Rune enchantment is the option system that grants additional effects to runes. Even with the same rune, the actual performance varies dramatically based on which enchantments are applied, so the enchantment option setup often has a larger impact on overall build quality than the rune itself.
The tiers on this page are organized by how frequently each enchantment option is adopted across slots, characters, and the meta, along with its effectiveness. Tier 1 enchantments are core options included in nearly every major build, while Tier 2 and Tier 3 enchantments are still perfectly usable alternatives.
Frequently Asked Questions
QAre enchantments more important than the rune's own rarity?
A legendary rune with a Tier 1 enchantment performs similarly to — or sometimes even better than — a mythic rune with a not-recommended enchantment. The rune's own tier is also evaluated with its enchantment in mind, so even a Tier 1 rune will underperform if the enchantment is poorly chosen.
QHow should I use enchantments efficiently?
Early on, focus enchantments on just one or two of your core runes. Trying to enchant every rune at once tends to waste resources without completing any single slot, since the rarity (common to mythic) is decided randomly.
QWhat if a Tier 1 enchantment never shows up on a slot?
The meta usually accepts several Tier 1 options for any given slot or two, so if your first-choice Tier 1 doesn't appear, take whichever other option in this page's Tier 1 group best fits your build. Switching to a runner-up within Tier 1 finishes the build faster than burning resources chasing a single option. If no Tier 1 appears, settle for Tier 2 or 3 for now, invest into other slots, and try again later.
QShould I read the rune tier page or the enchantment tier page first?
The rune tier itself already accounts for enchantments, so the natural flow is to use the rune tier page as your baseline and then match this page's enchantment options to your chosen runes.
