Maximize Tracking Eye Odds

Character, skin, rune, etching, enchantment, and ability-pick guide for reliably rolling Tracking Eye in chapters, Sky Tower, and bosses.

1

What is Tracking Eye?

Tracking Eye

  1. 1Probability that a Main Weapon ability appears as a pick
  2. 2Probability that the appearing pick is Epic or higher
  3. 3Probability that Tracking Eye is selected from within the Epic Main Weapon pool

This guide focuses on raising (1) and (2) at the same time, while not diluting (3).

Sources — only level-ups and Devils

Tracking Eye only appears from level-up rewards and Devils. It is not part of the Valkyrie pool, so do not assume "more Valkyries = more Tracking Eye." Every probability tweak in this guide is aimed at the level-up / Devil pool.

2

Boost Epic / Legendary Ability Odds

These are the runes, characters, and skins that directly raise Tracking Eye odds.

They all stack, so equipping every one of them is ideal.

Rabbit Foot (Blessing Rune)

Effects vary by grade — the one that directly contributes to Tracking Eye is the Epic-grade "+20% high-grade skill chance on level-up." Since Tracking Eye only appears from level-ups and Devils, this effect directly raises Tracking Eye's appearance rate.

EpicChance of obtaining high-quality skill upon level-up increases to 20%
LegendaryChance of landing on Valkyrie in Roulette +15%
MythicChance of obtaining high-quality rewards upon meeting Valkyrie +20%
Epic and above is mandatory

For a Tracking Eye build, Epic Rabbit Foot is non-negotiable. It is the highest priority among Blessing runes — push it to Epic before any other Blessing. Legendary and Mythic effects are Valkyrie bonuses (no direct Tracking Eye contribution), but the rune's base stats still scale with grade, so reaching Mythic is the long-term ideal.

Seraph and Carol Skin contribute through different mechanisms; both stack independently, so 8★ + 5★ together raises the Tracking Eye build ceiling the most.

Seraph 8★ Option · ★8

Easier to get higher-quality skills when acquiring new skills

"Higher chance of acquiring a higher-grade ability after acquiring a new ability" — this makes the Epic pool (which contains Tracking Eye) appear more often on the next pick screen, layering another Rabbit-Foot-style bonus.

Golden Velvet Carol

Carol Skin 5★ Option · ★5 Golden Velvet Carol

When refreshing skills, there's a 30% chance to refresh for free and upgrade the skill's quality. Guaranteed to trigger on first refresh

Skill rerolls sometimes don't consume a charge AND bump the next pick up by one grade — effectively a free upgrade into the Epic pool. The first reroll always triggers, so every run gets a guaranteed bonus.

3

Equip Main Weapon Etchings

Symphony and Echo Sickle directly raise the chance that Main Weapon abilities appear in the pick pool.

Since Tracking Eye is a Main Weapon ability, these two etchings are the most direct probability boosters.

Symphony

RareIncreases Main Weapon skill appearance rate
Legendary+3Greatly increases Main Weapon skill appearance rate

If Tracking Eye is your priority, this is the first etching to push to Legendary+3 — that grade gives the largest Main Weapon ability appearance bonus.

Echo Sickle

RareIncreases Main Weapon skill appearance rate
Legendary+3Greatly increases Main Weapon skill appearance rate

Like Symphony, contributes to Main Weapon ability odds. Effects stack when both are equipped, so once you have two etching slots unlocked, running both massively raises the odds.

Practical Operation — Cost & Efficiency
  • Forging Legendary+3 etchings is expensive and time-consuming. There is no need to force both etchings up to Legendary+3.
  • Symphony at Legendary + Echo Sickle at Rare is already a cost-effective pairing. Echo Sickle gives the Main Weapon bonus even at Rare, so simply equipping it has value.
  • If you already have Seraph 8★ + Carol Skin 5★, the probability bonus is comfortable enough — equipping just one Symphony etching and filling the other slot with a damage-amplifying etching is a perfectly good play.
4

Don't equip runes that pollute the pick pool

For example, equipping the "Frost Lightning Contact" or "Toxic Flame Contact" skill-pool runes adds new abilities to the pick pool, lowering Tracking Eye\'s appearance rate.

The same-name "Frost Lightning Etching" / "Toxic Flame Etching" enhancement runes do not affect the pool — only skill-pool runes need attention.

Skill-pool runes — adds new abilities to the picks

Frost Thunder Contact

Adds Frost / Lightning super abilities to the pick pool, lowering the relative odds of Epic Main Weapon abilities.

Added to the pick pool
Super Freeze
Super Bolt

Poison Contact

Adds Flame / Poison super abilities to the pick pool, lowering the relative odds of Epic Main Weapon abilities.

Added to the pick pool
Super Blaze
Super Venom
Enhancement runes — no effect on the picks

Frost Thunder Mark

No effect

Same Frost / Lightning theme, but enhancement runes do not add anything to the pick pool.

Poison Mark

No effect

Same Flame / Poison theme, but enhancement runes do not add anything to the pick pool.

Recommended skill-pool runes

Arrow Mastery

Does not affect the pick pool, while raising Main Weapon attack speed.

Pain Ring

Adds extra damage without injecting new abilities into the pick pool. Pairs well with Arrow Mastery.

Fill the remaining slot freely — as long as it does not add new abilities to the pick pool.

5

Intelligence Enchantment

The Intelligence rune has an enchantment option that increases your in-combat skill reroll count. More rerolls means more chances to re-roll into Tracking Eye when it doesn't show up — this is the most meaningful enchantment rune for a Tracking Eye build.

Useful enchantment options
LegendarySkill reroll count+1 during battle
MythicSkill reroll count+2 and max level+1 during battle
Priority — enchant other runes first

If Sharp Arrow / Arrow Mastery / Rabbit Foot etc. still need enchantment, do those first. Enchantment stones are limited, so finishing higher-priority runes first is more efficient.

6

Filter out polluting ability picks

Same logic as runes — abilities that "add new abilities to the pick pool when chosen" should be avoided when chasing Tracking Eye.

Once a new family enters the pool, it competes with Tracking Eye in every subsequent pick screen.

Frequently Asked Questions

QOnce I get Tracking Eye, can I pick anything afterwards?

Other core Main Weapon abilities like Energy Circle, Energy Beam, and Diagonal Arrows still need to keep showing up in subsequent picks, so you should keep filtering picks that expand the pool until the run ends. Main Weapon damage carries the largest share of overall DPS — when other ability families enter the pool, the chance of Main Weapon abilities themselves appearing in later picks drops, lowering your damage ceiling. Archero 2 is also a roguelike: once the run starts you can't change runes or characters and have to ride out the build through ability picks alone, so being selective every pick is the safer play.

QIf I only have one of Symphony / Echo Sickle, which should I level first?

Symphony first. At Legendary it adds Diagonal Arrows automatically, so its synergy with non-Tracking-Eye abilities is also the strongest. Echo Sickle gives the Main Weapon bonus even at Rare, so the efficient order is: Symphony to Legendary first, then add Echo Sickle.

QDoes the Frost Lightning Etching (enhancement rune) lower Tracking Eye odds?

No. The pick pool is polluted by the "Contact" skill-pool runes (Frost Lightning Contact, Toxic Flame Contact). Same-name "Etching" enhancement runes do not add new abilities to the pool, so feel free to equip them in a Tracking Eye build. What you remove is the Contact-family runes in the right-side skill-pool slots.

QTracking Eye really doesn't appear from Valkyries?

Correct. Tracking Eye only appears from level-up rewards and Devils. So Seraph's Valkyrie-rate bonus does not directly help Tracking Eye. The point of using Seraph in a Tracking Eye build is the Carol Skin 5★ option that bumps the reroll grade.

QIs a Tracking Eye build hard without Seraph + Carol Skin?

It still works. Rabbit Foot + Symphony / Echo Sickle + Intelligence enchantment + careful ability-pick management already raises Tracking Eye odds significantly. Seraph and Carol mainly raise the upper ceiling.

QShould I skip Intelligence enchantment if Mythic doesn't roll?

No. The Mythic option (rerolls+2, max level+1) is best, but it rarely rolls; in practice the Legendary option (rerolls+1) is enough. That said, if higher-priority runes (Symphony / Echo Sickle / Rabbit Foot etc.) still aren't enchanted, finish those first — enchantment stones are limited.
