The gear must be Mythic+3 or higher before it can be Godforged.

Upgrade materials are obtained by dismantling S gear from the same set. The S gear must be in the "Chaos" state to be dismantled.

Each set has its own dismantle materials, and those materials can only be used to upgrade gear within the same set. Oracle materials cannot be used to upgrade Griffin Godforge gear.

Levels 1–4: Gear Essence + set-specific upgrade materials (obtain Gear Essence by dismantling regular gear)

Upgrade Priority
Upgrade your weapon to level 5 first. Without weapon level 5, the Descent Effect on every other slot will not activate.
The Descent Effects on necklaces and rings only apply when you are wearing gear from the same set. For example, if you equip a Dragon Rider weapon but wear a Griffin necklace and ring, those Griffin accessories will not benefit from their Descent Effects.
The "S-tier gear swap" (available once per month) lets you transfer a Godforge-upgraded piece to a different slot. Upgrade the target piece first, then use the swap to move it to the slot you need.
Efficient Upgrade Strategy
If you are short on S gear, bringing all 6 slots to level 3 is the most efficient path. Each level-3 upgrade grants ATK +20% and HP +10%, so all 6 slots at level 3 costs 15 S gear and yields ATK +120% and HP +60%.
Pushing all 6 slots to level 4 requires 24 S gear and grants ATK +20% × 6 and HP +20% × 6 (ATK +120%, HP +120%). However, since ATK matters more than HP in most content, getting all slots to level 3 first is generally recommended.

QCan I dismantle S gear that is not in Chaos state?
No. Only S gear in the Chaos state can be dismantled for upgrade materials. Extra non-Chaos S gear is not dismantleable.
QWhat happens if I upgrade another slot to level 5 before the weapon?
Descent Effects do not activate. They require weapon Godforge level 5 as a prerequisite, so upgrading other slots first does not grant their Descent Effects. Push the weapon to level 5 first.
QCan I get Godforge Cores for free?
Yes. The Guild Expedition Shop sells 1 free Core per week, and 3 Island Tickets from Dice Events buy 2 Cores in the Island Shop. At ~200,000 points/month, accumulating enough Cores for all 6 slots to level 5 takes about 4 months.
QWhat is the S-tier gear swap?
A once-per-month feature that transfers an already Godforge-upgraded piece to a different equipment slot. For example, upgrade the weapon to level 5 and then move the result into the armor slot.
