Gear Enhancement Cost Guide
Gear enhancement scales steeply — the gold and enhancement scrolls required ramp up sharply as level increases. This page shows the cumulative cost from your current level to your target level, presented both per-slot and across all 6 slots, as a tool for planning your enhancement resources.
Enhancement applies to the slot, not the gear itself, so within the same slot any equipped gear inherits the same enhancement level. In other words, if you enhance a Dragon Knight weapon and later swap to an Oracle weapon, the enhancement level carries over — meaning you can enhance ahead of time without worrying about future build changes. Enhancement scrolls are also tracked per slot, so there is no loss when swapping between slots.

The stat gain from enhancement is identical within each slot group. Weapon, necklace, and ring give the same attack increase per enhancement, while helmet, armor, and boots give the same HP increase — so multiplying the per-slot cost on this page by 6 matches the 6-slot total exactly. If you are stuck on chapters because your attack is too low, prioritize weapon, necklace, and ring; if you are dying due to low HP, prioritize helmet, armor, and boots.
Frequently Asked Questions
QWhich slot should I enhance first?
It depends on what is blocking your chapter progress. If your attack is too low to take down bosses, prioritize weapon, necklace, and ring (attack increase); if you keep dying from low HP, prioritize helmet, armor, and boots (HP increase). Within the same group, the effect per enhancement is identical, so the order between slots in the group does not matter much.
QIs it okay to enhance only one specific slot heavily?
Since enhancement cost ramps up steeply with level, it is more resource-efficient to keep all 6 slots at similar levels rather than pushing one slot far ahead. Letting a single slot run one or two levels ahead of the rest is fine, but once the gap widens beyond that, spending the same resources on a different slot brings a larger cumulative stat gain.
QDoes enhancement reset when I swap from Dragon Knight to Oracle?
No. Enhancement applies to the slot, not the gear itself, so swapping gear within the same slot preserves the enhancement level. You can enhance ahead of time without worrying about potential build changes — there is no loss.
QWhat if I am short on enhancement resources?
Most players hit a gold shortfall first as they progress into the late game, but players who supplement gold through purchases tend to run short on enhancement scrolls instead. If scroll supply is the bottleneck, clearing as many Sky Tower floors as possible is the single biggest source — Sky Tower clear rewards include large amounts of scrolls, so push to the highest floor you can reach first.
