Gear Selection Guide
After clearing Carnival missions you will receive a Dragoon Crossbow as your first S-tier gear. At this point you need to decide which set to pursue — Oracle, Dragoon, or Griffin. Read through each set's traits below and pick the one that suits your playstyle.

30-day cooldown after each swap — choose carefully
Free-to-play players earn roughly 8 S-tier gear per month; low spenders (Fund + Pass) earn around 10–12. That means set swaps become available after about 7–8 months for F2P players and 5–6 months for low spenders.
Oracle vs. Dragoon
Choose Oracle if you want to focus on PvE content such as Chapters, Sky Tower, and Boss fights. It delivers top-tier PvE performance.
Choose Dragoon if you want to focus on PvP content such as the Arena and Champion Arena. It also offers decent PvE performance compared to Griffin.
Griffin struggles in both PvP and PvE before reaching Chaotic grade. It is recommended to finish Oracle or Dragoon first before investing in Griffin.
Even if you choose Dragoon, you may still lose in the Arena to a well-geared Oracle player. PvP performance also varies greatly depending on gear grade (whether Chaotic is complete).

Frequently Asked Questions
QI can't decide between Oracle and Dragoon — which should I pick?
If you mostly enjoy PvE content (Chapters, Sky Tower, Bosses), go with Oracle. If you prefer PvP (Arena), go with Dragoon. Either way, reaching Chaotic takes 7–8+ months, so the most important factor is choosing whichever content you enjoy more.
QShould I drop the Dragoon Crossbow from Carnival and start fresh with Oracle?
If you plan to focus on PvE, Oracle is recommended. However, if you have already upgraded your Dragoon weapon to Mythic or higher, it is more efficient to push it to Mythic+3 first and then use the set-swap feature to convert it to an Oracle weapon rather than starting over. Keep in mind the 30-day cooldown after each swap, so decide carefully.
QShould I never choose Griffin?
Saying Griffin struggles before Chaotic doesn't mean it has no role — the Griffin Amulet is a required piece in the endgame build. However, starting your very first set as Griffin means spending a long time with low utility, which is inefficient. The recommended strategy is to complete Oracle or Dragoon first, then pull the Griffin Amulet separately.
QWhy are the Oracle Helmet, Armor, and Pendant so important in PvE?
All three pieces have perks that interact with the multi-hit mechanic, creating an extremely powerful synergy. The Oracle Armor adds diagonal arrows on each multi-hit, the Oracle Pendant doubles the next attack's damage on each multi-hit, and the Oracle Helmet adds a multishot on critical hits. When all three trigger together, damage scales exponentially.
