Build Editor Guide

The Build Editor is a tool for freely combining characters, gear, runes, and artifacts into a virtual build, then sharing the result via URL. You can plug in characters and gear you do not even own at the simulation stage, making it a useful tool for sketching out your next enhancement and breakthrough goals.

Builds you create can be turned into shareable URLs via the share button to post in friend chats, guild chats, and communities, and any URL someone sends you can be loaded directly so you can tweak it to your taste. Using a recommended build from the Build Browse page as a starting point to set the baseline of your own build is also an efficient approach.

If you want to check the exact stats of a build you made in the editor, use it together with the stat calculator on this site. The most practical flow is to compare numerically how much each option change contributes to final ATK and HP, then reflect those findings back into the Build Editor.

Frequently Asked Questions

QCan I include characters and gear I do not own in a build?

Yes — this is a virtual simulation tool, so you can freely plug in any character, gear, or rune regardless of ownership. Use it to plan ahead which character to recruit next or which gear to push to mythic.

QAre shared URLs preserved permanently?

Share URLs encode the build configuration directly, so they are kept without an expiration period. Links you sent to friends or posted to communities will still open exactly as they did, so a build shared once can be reliably reused later.

QCan I take someone else's build and edit it?

Yes — opening a URL you received starts you off with that person's build configuration, and you are free to swap slots however you like. Pressing the share button again after editing generates a new URL, so the typical flow is to share a variant build with your own additions rather than just citing the original.
