Rune System Guide
Runes are the core system that amplifies your character stats and skill effects. Growth runes, etched runes, enchanting — each rune type plays a different role, and which runes you secure and upgrade first determines how complete your build feels. Use the tier list to find the runes that match your current build.
Rune fusion combines lower-grade runes into a higher-grade rune. Rune combination merges specific rune fragments into the rune you actually want. Both systems hinge on planning your material supply, so check each page for required materials and probabilities ahead of time.

Enchanting attaches additional options to a rune, and the same rune can perform very differently depending on which enchant rolls. Use the enchant tier list to spot the optimal options for your build and set your priority order.
Runes fall into four broad categories: Growth, Skill, Blessing, and Etched. Growth and Skill runes are generally easier to grade up because you can farm them while playing, while Blessing and Etched runes have limited acquisition routes. The smart move is to grab as many Blessing runes as possible so you can unlock all three etched-rune slots.
The rune workflow runs as: acquire (hunting, rune draws) → fuse (combine lower grades to raise the grade) → enchant (roll for additional options). The rune combination page is the best place to set a target build and pick which runes to chase.
Frequently Asked Questions
QCan I run rune fusion and enchanting at the same time?
Yes — they are entirely separate systems and run in parallel. Fusion only needs rune materials and has no extra cost to raise grades, while enchanting requires enchant stones. Just keep both moving whenever you have the materials.
QHow do I farm rune fusion materials?
Through rune draws using the Ruin Shovel and Pact Ruin Shovel, chapter clear rewards, the guild merchant, event rewards, and other sources. Duplicate runes also work as fusion materials, so do not throw them away.
QWhich runes are universally good?
It depends on your build, but runes rated S-tier or above on the rune tier list tend to perform well across most builds. Prioritize the runes that match the build style you are currently playing.
QCan I re-enchant a rune?
Yes. You can spend additional enchant stones to roll the option again until you get the one you want. Rolled options are kept, and Mythic-tier options never duplicate. That said, the resource cost is high, so it is most efficient to re-roll only on your core runes — chasing rolls on rarely-used runes is not recommended.
QWhich runes should I grade up first?
Grade up the core runes of your current build first — the ones marked Required on the rune combination page. The same priority applies to enchant grades, since the core runes have the largest impact on overall build completeness. The rune tier list also flags universally strong runes worth raising.
